Ok so its 1993 and I am in matric.  Felt like my first day in Sub A.  I went to Welkom High School for my matric year.  What happens? on my first day get mistaken for a Gr8!!!  Its not my fault I'm short!!!  So I meet up with my buddy Chantelle after such a long time of not seeing her!!  We had a great matric year.  I remember 1 incident with too much clarity.  At break time the matrics were allowed to sit on the chairs outside the tuck shop.  There was a veranda with chairs for us.  On this specific day I sat on the chair and as I moved back the chairs leg went over the edge of the veranda............... needless to say i fell of the veranda - chair and all!!  I laughed so hard that I couldn't even get up!!!

Our matric farewell was also great!  We had a Greek theme and it was all done really well.  Chantelle had a red dress on.  Almost everyone had long dresses on but I had to be different.  I had a black and orange dress on - was short with a train!  Orange was my favourite colour!!  I will never forget the mistake I made to actually wear a pair of stilettos with the dress - my feet were so sore!!!!!!  When I can scratch out my pics I will post them for you.

Next up will be my first year out of school.

Ok so where to start - I suppose the beginning would be ok?  I was born on 14 July 1975 in Johannesburg, South Africa.  My parents, Peter & Sally Hosmer were very proud parents!  My sister - Debbie carried me all over the place!  My dad was a fire fighter and my mom a registered nurse. I don't remember much of my birth (LOL).  I grow up around fire stations and it was really fun!  We moved to Welkom in 1981en my dad started working on the mine.  I went Sub A (GR1) in 1982 I was in Aurora Primary.  When I went to St1 (GR) I was moved to Welkom Prep School - this was a great school and I met my lifelong friend Chantelle there!  When i went to St 4 I was moved to Lakeview School in Virginia as we had moved to Virginia.  I enjoyed my time there and met many wonderful friends!  I went to Harmony High School until end of St 9 (GR11) when we moved back to Welkom.  I did my matric year at Welkom High School and lo and behold who do I bump into there - my life long friend Chantelle!!  I will blog in a few days again to tell you all about our matric year .
